67 F-100 stepside front lift/ level
I have a 67 F-100 stepside, 2wd, and wanted to see about lifting it a little. I really like the farm truck look, so not looking at a big lift... and don't want it to look like a 4x4 either. After searching online, I realized that due to the I-beams, I was looking at pricey lift. Then I found out that I can buy a spacer for the front coils to lift it just a bit. I know they make spacers that are 1, 2, and 3 inch... I think a 1 inch lift in the front will level it out by giving me the look I want while staying safe.
Just to give me options... would a 2 inch or 3 inch spacer still be safe, or am I taking a chance, going that big on the coils? Would it be a safety issue? Is 2 inch still ok, or is it too risky?
-Dave.

The other option is to lift the body with spacers that go between the body and frame. For small lifts (1" - 2") it doesn't look too odd. The big advantage aside from price is that the suspension isn't touched so you don't have geometry changes. The auto fab kits come in 3" or 5". See my link below if you want to see what can happen when you get into trying to lift a 2wd ford 3".
