Swapping Rear Axles, Pic Heavy

I am finally getting done the one thing I wanted to before it snows. Thank God for this El Niņo. I found a 1997 F350 part out(D60 gone already of course) but the rear axle happened to be 3.55ls with 140k. I'm going to get it for $150 including the leafs, with a "guarantee that the ls works". The question for you guys is whether I just throw the springs from the F350 and all under my truck or swap my springs to the new axle? Currently my passenger side sits lower than my drivers side. I see that the F350 has more leafs how big of a difference will this make in ride quality, height, bumpiness, etc? The F350 has a stake body dump bed on it, sorry if the pictures i took of mine are meaningless or stupid i haven't done any work with axles before. The Orange diff cover was like that when i bought the truck... Any input is greatly appreciated!

The springs on both axles are probably rated the same. I'd use the 350 springs, being yours is sagging on one side. That being said, the 350 axle/springs will have a 4 inch block, while the 250 has a 2 inch spacer block. If you are going to a D 60 front on your truck, you will want the 4 inch spacer block for the truck to sit fairly level.

Thankyou Tom, so use the 2 inch spacers for now, then swap to the 4 inch when i find a good deal on a D60 correct? Where is the best place to get U-bolts? Is there any other hardware/replacement things i should do/get while its being done? my rear shocks are kinda sad, what are some good replacements? Sorry to be Mr. 60 Questions lol. TIA

Gabe, im not completely certain... 1996 F350 Powerstroke for Parts is the link. They are fairly dark pictures and I don't know what to look for that would tell me that it is.

Ok it's a single rear wheel. You should be fine. You said it had a stake bed and it just got me thinking it was a cab a chassis for some reason.
