New 2016 F350 Blue Jean
Hey Guys & Gals,
Just threw in my Xmas wish to Santa!!
Getting a new 2016 F350 Lariat CC, 6.2L
Like to get a bug deflector -- is it needed or serve any purpose? And pics of them on a newer truck like to see it.
Also getting the window vents & mud flaps
Other then that this truck is so loaded I dont think there is anything else needed!!

I have read post in the past that the bug/wind deflector on the front doesn't play well with mounting vent visors. Something about the front deflector disturbs the aerodynamics of wind flow as designed with the body lines of the Superduty which then has been known to cause excess wind buffering at the point of the vent visors.
I went with the vent visors and feel that I made the correct choice for me.
Congratulations on the new Santa delivery gift.

But that could easily be a different story with different brands or configurations. Maybe I just lucked out.
As far as vent visors, I couldn't make the snap in ones work no matter how I tried. I got credit for them from the vendor and bought an old fashioned stick on design. Again, trucks all over the country have the window channel style visors and they work. Whichever brand I purchased (I'd post if I remembered, it was about 20 months ago) didn't do the job for me. That's why I'm not really bashing or recommending to stay away. Just posting my own experience.
