Bellhousing part number for T5 swap?

I'm gathering the parts to put a T5 in my 48 F1 behind the 226. I have the trans, and am looking for the 4 speed truck bell housing. I ran across a local gentleman that has piles of parts (mostly 52 and up car) and he thinks he might have one somewhere in a barn. What casting number(s) am I looking for?

The part number you are looking for is 01T-7505. This is the number inside the half bell on a T9 spur gear 4 speed. If you find one with T eight D-1 1/2 A inside, it is for a '48-'52 T98 syncro-silent 4 speed. I had to spell out eight it is actually a number 8, if I put an 8 there it thinks it is a smiliey face for some reason????? It will probably work also but the pilot hole for the front bearing retainer is 1/8" larger than in the 01T-7505 half bell. If you find a T98 complete don't part it out for the half bell, sell the transmission and buy a half bell. I have several as do others here if you don't find one.

If you are looking for the piece with the clutch fork inside, it is also called the "hogshead" for some reason. These are used with the plate type adapter for T5/flathead. If using the speedway type adapter, it is not needed.
I also have several hogs heads available if you can't find one locally

Thanks! It might be after Christmas before I get a chance to see what he has. He said he mostly had car stuff, But he has a pile of oddball stuff that was junk to him, but no 4-speeds.

Which adapter are you using? There are 2 styles, just want to make sure we are on the same page...

I have an extra hogs head......PM for details.
