To paint or not to paint... Opinions

I have a new set of exhaust manifolds that I will be installing soon and I am on the fence about if i should bother painting them with high temp paint of not. Mostly I am concerned with longevity and keeping them in good shape. I have some high temp manifold paint that is good for 1200-2000 degrees, but now that I bought it I'm not sure if I should even bother doing it. What are your thoughts?

I'm all for paint to at least keep the surface rust at bay for a while...

What do you all think of the ceramic coatings? Tuff or fluff?

I used Cerakote.

Cerakote Coatings: C-102Q Graphite Black

All you need is tester size. More than enough. This is an air cure. Just did my turbo and up pipes with it.

I had to do both manifolds when I bought Stinky. I wish I had put some kind of a coating on them, they looked like hell pretty fast.

Have you conducted any research on the ceramic coatings?

How long ago did you use the Cerakote? How durable is it?

I have it on a Harley full exhaust for over a year and it looks as good as the day it was applied. Durable as all get out.
