tranny problems

Hey guys I got a 95 f150, it's an E4OD, and the problem is that it isn't downshifting sometimes. It also somewhat had little lurches when driving (probably because of the transmission not shifting right) there was a wire that I replaced, it was on the engine and a transmission shop told me to try it cuz I was having the same problem before this, and it worked. But now it's back. I also put in a throttle body spacer, not sure if that changed anything cuz the cables to the throttle moved a little but we're adjusted right.

The cable you're talking about, possibly the kickdown cable? If it is out of adjustment, it will alter how the transmission down shifts.

Was the throttle body spacer added after the new cable?

A 1995 F150 can have an E4OD or 4R70W transmission. Either of them are 100% electronic controlled. There is no kick down cable or other mechanical connection to the throttle.

Check for codes.

More details about the wire you replaced.

You wasted your money on a throttlebody spacer. Complete garbage on these trucks.

You own a $50-70 paperweight now. Sorry....

Remove it and leave the TB as it was from the factory.

Need to pull codes and also verify what the TPS sensor shows with the throttle blades in the full closed position.
