1968? F600 ex U-haul flatbed

Hello, just seeing if anyone was interested in this 1968 (I think?) ex U-Haul Ford F-600, and is the value as the truck is, much higher than the scrap value? Complete flatbed truck. Bed is shot, and driver side door is dented pretty good. The chassis is still solid. Cab has some rust. All the tires still looked good. Would like to see someone take the whole truck, rather than chopping it up for parts. Doing this for a friend,, it was her Dad's. I haven't found the keys yet to get inside to check mileage etc, but interior-gauges dash all seem to be there. I have not got the hood opened yet, but the motor is there. Located in eastern Ohio about 30 mins from Wheeling WV. Thanks!

Impossible to tell based on a single photo, but, judging by the briers grown up around it and the amount of rust I can see, it's a parts truck at best.

Chop sleeping beauty out of the growth, tow her out and really get a look at her. Post lots of pics here if you still have questions, we all like to see old trucks.

They are a tough sell for running condition, and even worse for non-running.

Well I'm not allowed to post for sale items yet, because I'm a newb. I do have some more pics that give a general look at the condition. Is this a 68? Like I said it's not mine. Just trying to find out for a friend what it's worth. Rear tires are in pretty good shape, I imagine a farmer would jump on them for 200 for both dualies..

I wish I had a way to tow it out. Its on her Dads old abandoned farm. Nothing around but rusting iron, most of which i have scrapped for her, besides an old Oliver track loader that may have a new home soon.

Is it a Ford flatbed? Does it say FORD in block letters on the back of the bed?

No Ford emblems anywhere that I seen. She said he just threw some paint on it after getting it and used it for a hay truck. Don't mind the locust tree growing up through the bed.

Man it's looking more and more rough as the pics go on. Is there any usable metal left without dents or rust?

The driver side fender looked ok, most of that is paint peeling off. The hood, roof, passenger door, gas tank, grill and frame didn't seem too bad in person. I guess it all depends on what a person would want to do with her, like just use it for a farm truck or something along that route. A restore to a shiny new truck would be a expensive, time consuming project. The steering parts, tires, frame, and some of the interior like gauges etc seemed to be ok. I just didn't know how desirable the truck or any of its usable parts are sought after.

JMHO, scrap iron on that one. Trucks of that size and vintage are plentiful. Tires that old are a liability.

Any idea if it was running when parked Or was it sat out to pasture? Would be nice to see it be saved to be a work horse once again on a farm.

Thanks, everyone..if no one ends up wanting it here or other places I have put it up, it will get scrapped. I will save the glass, engine (maybe) and some other odds n ends..but if its not gone soon, the torch is getting broke out.
