AOD / 4R70W Dipstick tube question

Does any one running an AOD or 4R70W and 302 combo know if the stock transmission dipstick tube works fine without any interference? I need to order a new one but didn't know if the stock one is fine or do I need one of the flexible ones that mount directly to the firewall?

Thanks,
Matt

I have the stock tube and stick,it fits fine in the AOD, I'm assuming you're application is a 51 F1. Am I Correct ?

I can send you a picture sometime Thursday afternoon if needed.

Good information. I have a 4R70W coming and was wondering if the stock dipstick would work. Thanks.

Same here except mine came out of an 87 T-bird and it's in a '53.

Should be identical then...Fox-body T-bird had same packaging constraints as Fox-body Mustang.
