New guy with codes

Needing help with engine. I put my homemade Gen3 HPOP on and now when I give it some throttle, computer goes to default of 725 psi and cel. Put new IPR, ICP sensor, and new pigtails on each. I found a thread that helped.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...ode-p1280.html

I got connection to the PCM. But is the signal return wire suppose to be grounded?

Welcome to FTE. I'm not an electrical guru by any stretch of the imagination. I'm sure one the electrical gurus will jump in here to help out.

What is this, "...homemade Gen3 HPOP" you speak of? I'm sure the gang will want to have as much information about that as you can provide.

Glenn, I know the problem you had with your HBJ pump, but the 1280 code is a code for the electrical circuit of the ICP, not the pressure itself.

OP, have you tried pulling the chip and see what it does?

Took chip out and Gen3. I really don't think it's the chip. Takes me a while to build pressure to start though.

Sorry, I was being a jerk! Just a bad experience with Jonathan at dyno proven. I'm with Nick, lets see some pictures! Sounds like you have a lot of 'over the top' mods, sounds very interesting! Good luck with your problem, I'm not much help.
