Truck Names?
Brutus, Magnus, and Cletus.
So the first of our trucks to be named was "Brutus" (78 F-150 4X4 SC LB):
Next up was "Magnus" (79 F-150 Ranger):
The name Magnus came up when someone I work with suggested going with a "Celtic" name. My wife has an ancestor from the Orkney Islands (North of Scotland) whose name was Magnus Firth. Thought it was perfect.
And finally, I guess that would make the 75/78/86 F-100 frankentruck "Cletus" (the bucktoothed, idiot brother):
What names do you guys have for your trucks, and how did you come up with them?

My camo'ed 73 4x4 is "The War Machine" - self explanatory.
The 2WD '70 is the Low Buck Bumpside... I have a build thread over in the Bump forum with over 220,000 views.
My 2WD '71 F-250 is named "BRD"... or Big Red Dick. It's Calypso Coral and the previous (and original) owner is named Dick. He had to sell it because it's manual trans and he couldn't drive it anymore due to a bad knee.
The 2001 4WD SuperCrew is "Great White"... it's just big and white.

The color is the name, ol red, ol silver, ol blue...and the red Bronc. I do not have any cool stories to associate the trucks with a certain conjured up name, maybe someday?
Now as far as ol #88 I bought it like that and sold it like that. The name came with it and I sold it with it.
Some one said that sure is a Hillbilly buggie you got there, and it just stuck.

Had a 74 F100 4x4. It was always referred to as "The 74" and sometimes as Big Red.
My new 77 F350 is an old welding rig. I call it the White Monster, but if past trends are any indicator it will just be called "The 77." We're pretty creative with our names lol.
I also had a 66 F250 that in addition to "The 66" was referred to as "Turtle." It was old, green, and didn't go very fast.
