Same thing with people wanting to know what time it is. They point at their wrist and demand to know what time it is. Yeah, buddy I know where a watch goes. I usually go about it a couple different ways.

Them: "What time is It?
Me: "You mean right now?"
Them: dirty look

Or, I'll take a look up at the Sun, and kinda gauge windage, maybe hold a thumb up to the horizon "Oh, I reckon we're purty near 2:37 or so..."

Them: dirty look

Columbus wasn't "lost". He returned to Spain and led 3 more voyages to the lands he discovered.

Prehistoric people who lived in cold climates had to be good hunters. Natural selection favored those who didn't get lost in the snow.

Men are stronger than women. This is true of all primates. Living in groups promotes competition for females and other resources and this favors men that are stronger and more aggressive.

Since women are too weak to participate in most important activities their natural instinct is to call a plumber or stop and ask for directions. Men are the problem solvers because with power comes responsibility.

Brings to mind Yogi Berra. May he Rest in Peace.

He was great with directions. "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."
