A couple of interior questions

I've never seen the gear and lightning bolt floor mat before. Is that a factory mat in the picture?
I used to think all custom cabs had the straight line speedometer, but I see many that have the round version. Was the straight line just a single item option?

The truck appears to be a 64 Custom Cab. It is missing the lower dash plate that say's "Custom Cab" also missing are the floor sill plates.
It does however have the trim and padded dash.
The round speedo was used up until 64 in the "F100" it was also used in the 65-66 larger trucks.
The sweep speedometer or what you refer to as "straight line speedometer" was used in the 65-66 "F100" trucks.
NumberDummy will be along shortly to provide further information and to correct my descriptions of the "F100" and larger trucks.

Thanks for the reply.
The truck in the picture is a 1966 F-250 4x4.
How about the floor mat?

Floor mat is stock for your truck. The 1966 F250 4x4 trucks also did not use a sill plate because if you have to get to the battery it is under the floorboards so you have to pull the mat back to get to the hatch. They didn't want people to have to remove a sill plate to get to the battery.

I have an NOS gear and lightning bolt mat and have seen one since then that sold for nearly $600 on eBay. They are very rare floor mats as are all the various types for these trucks.

The sweep speedometer was standard in 1965 and 1966 F100 and F250 2WD Custom Cab and 1966 F100 4WD Custom Cab only. All others got the round speedo. From ND.

Custom Cab Sweep Speedo: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD only. Use with plastic chrome instrument cluster bezel (C5TZ-10838-A).

1965 F100/250 4WD, 1966 F250 4WD, 1965/66 F350/1100 Custom Cabs have a round speedo with a chrome steel instrument cluster.

Since Rangers required Custom Cab that is redundant.

Also, 1966 F100 4WD Custom Cab could be ordered with the Ranger package as well. You just couldn't get the optional console since it would interfere with the transfer case shift lever.

But how many members (I see a raft of newbies) know this?

I didn't know this, and I'm probably the most informed member of this forum.
