You can get a fake smog pump that is just a pulley and retain the stock belt.
Or just remove it and get a shorter serpentine belt . thats what i did when i jammed the 88 into my 74 truck.
Why do you want to remove it? Your engine computer is designed to run with it in place. Sure, it'll still 'run' without it, but it'll run better with it. Just get a new one.
How do I go about deleting the smog pump in a 93 ford f 150
What is all involved
I deleted the AIR pump on my old 96 F150. I used an AC bypass pulley assembly from a 91 Chevy 4.3 V6. It was on an old junk motor I had laying around. With some slight modification it bolted right in place of the smog pump. I was able to use the same serpentine belt. Then I just plugged off the related vacuum lines and removed the remaining hoses etc. Other than a CEL was on, the truck still ran good and fuel mileage didn't seem to be effected either.
