84 C600 370 4v finally running
After 3 weekends of puttzing on this truck it finally runs. It had been sitting for about 10 years with air cleaner on wrong so mice could make a nice little home on top off the carb. Engine was stuck so pulled the plugs added some tranny fluid and worked it loose. Starter was also stuck, I got that loose but even with new cables and dual batteries it still struggled. Picked up a starter for $60 at Napa and also put in new plugs. Turned over like champ then but would not fire by just spraying gas in the carb. I took a Edelbrock carb off a 350 I had along with a electric fuel pump and fuel tank off a onan gen set I had to get it running. The carb bolted right up and it started right up. It ran pretty good after adjusting the dist and has really good oil press.
If this truck only had an air brake system I would just switch cabs with my C750 since this cab is way too rusty to fix and my C750 frame is shot. My plan is to make a 99" wheel base truck with a modern air ride rear end. This will be along project since this is just a toy and I want to do something diff than the 40/50's Coe's that are popular now.

It is fixable but I have a better cab on a bad (double) frame and this frame is in great shape. I will prob part out the 84 but it will not go to the crusher. I haven't really looked at the seats from the topside. I know they are not bolted in that well prob full of mouse remnants. It is very to work on these engines compared to conventional cabs.
