Question about trans fluid change?

For those who have changed the fluid and filter theirselves on these new transmissions with no dipstick, how did you put in the new fluid? Most do it yourselfers do not have a fancy pump assembly like the dealers do.

There are good videos on you tube. If you have the Ford built transmission, not the ZF, there is a bolt on the drivers side of the transmission. Once the bolt is out it will reveal a small yellow dipstick. You have to pump in the transmission fluid by hand. The guy on youtube is ford tech makuloco or something like that. Keep in mind I havent done mine yet so I am giving a recap of the video. Good luck.

Ok. Just did mine so what I did was use a long piece of tubing and run it from the fill/dip stick but assembly up thru the engine compartment and then put a funnel on the end in the engine compartment. Slowly pour in the fluid. Mine took about 7 quarts but I did install a cooler so I may have needed more fluid than a regular oil/filter change. Hope this technique works for you. Checking the fluid level is a pain. Use an oven MIT to prevent 3rd degree burns.
