Any help on whether to worry about this issue with a new ip. I just replaced the ip and realized it was the FSS that was bad. I checked the voltage and it fluctuated between 10.5 and 12V. will that damage the solenoid over time? any help on how to remedy the issue? I did bring 12V to the old FSS and the solenoid did not work. new one delivers a solid click and the ip is running fine.

If at idle, i assume its nothing less trivial than the alternating kicking in and out, and a low reading voltage meter. The fluctuation shouldnt hurt it that i know of. At one point i remember reading that the FSS only requires about 4.5v to function.
Thanks for the insight, I was looking for the service bulletin that describes the shutoffs but couldn't find them. too bad I replaced the whole thing just for the solenoid..
