vacuum advance line and oil filter

Ok, so I've looked through the regular suppliers catalogues, and can't find anyone who sells the hard vacuum advance line for my '51 239 Flathead.
Original part number 8BA-12226 (3/16" dia x 23.31") with nut for the Vac advance line 351112-S (3/8"-24)
Just wondering if anyone has a spare they could part with, as my engine had a model 59 carb on it, but still has the vac advance for the distributor.
New DC 8RT carb on its way so trying to get all the bits I need to get the engine running.
Also, I've got a Canadian block with the extra oil port so I could run partial flow and a screw on filter, but my engine never had a filter on it from the looks of it.
I'm thinking the original bypass filter would be best for engine life, but just wondering on filter cartridge availability.
Might have to look for a filter housing on Epay unless again someone has an extra.
Cheers for the help.

I have an ugly but complete vac line, but I also have one that is clean, but had the middle cut out and replaced with hose. You can also just make one from tubing, and new "Ford nuts". The nuts are cheap and available from NAPA: NAPA AUTO PARTS

I also have some oil filters, if your head has the three bosses for mounting.

If you have the Canadian block, and it is already drilled, I'd look inside the horizontal port and make sure it doesn't have a plug in it about 3/4" in. That is how Canadian factory full-flow systems were set up. The outside vertical port had a fitting with a tube that sticks down into the passage. It's happened before that someone who didn't know the setup installed a bypass filter to that tube, and ran the engine without oil.

Albuq,
Thanks for the heads up on the "Ford nuts" at NAPA (here I was thinking we were the only Ford nuts...). Might give that a shot. Need to get a flaring tool anyway for when I get to doing brake lines.
Ilya, I might take you up on that if that set screw is in place. I'll let you know on FB.

Cheers!

Flaring the 3/16" advance line is not necessary. The fitting slips over the line lose leaving about 1/4" line exposed from the end of the fitting. When compressed, the fitting seals to the line as it is forced into the tapered bore of the carb or the advance. Clear as mud?

Allan, looks like you have your PM disabled (or full). Drop me a line ad we can arrange things off site.

Cheers

Well finally got the truck from out under the tarp keeping the snow off of it, and into the shop.
The horizontal port is free and clear, I'll have to check the outboard vertical port again though. Thinking I might go with the old bypass style instead of semi-full flow. They ran for 50+ years like that, must work better than nothing.
Did find a vac advance line in the boxes of parts. But it's missing the Carb "Ford nut" and NAPA in Canada doesn't carry the brand mentioned. They have ones that look close in the catalogue, but just not sure.
