Replaced hpop and ipr truck starts but has no power

I replaced hpop do to oil leak on non service plug, after losing check ball in old pump. Truck started just fine but took it out to get air out of system then truck died. Then would not start. So I replaced ipr in pump. Truck started but has no power. Engine light comes on but there is no code. I see. A plug for the exhaust back pressure unplugged when replacing hpop so I plug it in when replaced. I recently disconnected it. The truck will start but lazy. The drives down road and will get up to 70 mph. But very slow. I also hear what I think is the injectors chattering when pressing pedal at a steady rate. Then smashing the pedal the motor sound like the wast gate is not opening. The truck ran fine before fixing leak. Now I believe I created myself more problems. Can anyone suggest what I done wrong in the process of replacing hpop besides what I have already read and checked. Thanks

Where did you get the HPOP? There's a chance something went wrong in the rebuild process and it's the HPOP causing the problem. Do you still have the old one that leaked available to swap back in for a test?

If not, get a scanner or manual gauge where you can watch high pressure oil to track this down.

If it didn't just suddenly start with the swap, I'd say check the fuel pressure under load, but if it stated with the HPOP swap, I'd start there first.

Maybe not your problem but
Ive seen where other mechanics forgot to torque down the18mm bolt that holds the gear on the hpop making it slip. Other possibility might be a faulty IPR, or hpop got to see the icp and ipr values

Disconnect the icp and see if it has oil inside the plug
