Will be putting a 300/4.9 6 into a 92'-96' F250/350 frame that had a big block or Diesel in it.
I'll be starting with a bare frame. Looking for clean frame so don't know which engine it will be set up for, but figure will be 351, 460 or diesel.

If I pull a 300/4.9 6 out of a 95' bronco, I should pull the engine cross member and swap it into the F250/350 frame and use 300 6 motor mounts, correct?

I don't want to leave the big motor cross member in the frame as it will be bigger than needed and in the way. Or is the cross member the same and engine mount are different?

Doing a D60 SAS & high steer so don't want anymore bulk in the way than needed.

you shouldnt have to alter the crossmember what so ever. just get a set of engine towers from an F150 and should bolt right up.

 

Great thx. Are the rivet holes there? If not not a big deal to figure location for 300 6 mounts, but wondered. :-)

i would think so, frame is basicly the same from cab forward.

 

Figured there probably were but if not isn't an issue. But I'll take all the help I can get to simplify locating the mounts.

installing the D60 should also be bolt in.
