Check your glow plug controller. Volts shouldn't be more than .3v (I believe) difference across the 2 big posts when the relay is engaged. These motors will stay warm inside for a long time. You could also plug it in for the night and see if that helps.
Will do i need to grab a DMM thought i had one but i dont, I only imagine the smoke is from try to start it and not succeeding because anytime after that there isnt any. If im correct the posts should show like 11v?
Well I had a very similar issue thought it was injector orings figured I damaged one or two on reinstall pulled them back out were fine but would not hardly start at all until I cranked and cranked on it then would start the rest the day just fine so I removed battery terminal conections sanded every and reinstalled trucks perfectly fine just bad conections
Then we should know tonight when you start it up for home.
Well it started pretty good wasn't as strong as this morning . Cranked a few seconds longer then normal and had white smoke with a low idle but picked up So idk I'll plug it in tonight again see what happens
I would check volts on the big posts and ohm the glow plugs.
I'll check the big posts tonight. I can only imagine the glow plugs are good they're all brand new but that's always a chance. Assuming to check them I need to remove my valve covers?
