Alberta Chat - Winter 2015!!

I noticed that it's feeling cooler, I have been wearing just a sweater the last many days, and today, that's leaving me feeling pretty chilled.
Big plans tonight. Going to take a case of Budweiser into my garage and see if I can tidy it up before I run out of cans. If I was a betting man, I'd say that not much tidying will happen, but hey, who knows, I may get bored.
It's an unheated and detached garage, so I will need to keep moving to stay warm. The gentle sounds of the flames game on the radio may not be enough to keep me heated.

I'm working out of a 10 x 20 shelter with a 10 x 10 shelter attached to the side of it so it gets chilly. Just got everything reorganized so that I can start working out of the big side. If I can find a cheap wood stove this place will get in floor heating so that I can keep the frost out of the floor. Actually my last post in my adventures in retirement thread shows what the joint looks like now that the main shop is cleared out.
Maybe I needed the day off, hmmf.

I thought it was called dead rear or dead deer or something like that Gigger
Wound up stripping the bright work off the box so that I dont bugger up the good pieces. These I beams sure got a lot lighter over the winter and most of my cart tires lost air over the winter so tomorrow starts with patching tubes and resetting beads.
Time to look around for a punching bag to see if the coordination and upper balance is coming back, would be a good thing.

I'm working on the original project my 78f350 dually dump truck. Has 123,112 kilometers on it. It was a truly rust and dent free truck.
Truck gets converted to a 5th wheel Rv puller, truck is on a f350 dually frame and front suspension for the ball joint I beams and sway bar plus the frame has a shorter wheel base and is lighter. The f450 donates its motor, trans, hydroboost, rear axle with disc brakes and sway bar, 19.5 rims and hydraulics. Theres some major bodywork going onto this truck as this is the only chance for me to have a truly custom built truck and the interior is going to be a livingroom on wheels. Have about 90% of the parts that I need to complete it, have the time now to work on it finally.

Had a stroke Sept 3 2012, in dec of 2012 my landlord had my bathroom reno'd, took 8 weeks not 3. Came home to find my yard trashed, my parking area filled with construction debris from someone elses site, cleanup notice from the city and someone poured water and sand down the carb of my truck. didn't find out about the water and sand til after the motor warmed up and melted the water.
Had a judgement against a contractor for $3500. He did the Calgary tough guy act and got his junkie henchman to do the same type of vandalism as they had been doing for the last 4 years in my neighborhood. I'd known for 11 years that my health was going to go on me, just didnt know how for sure, so I was putting in long hrs to hedge my health retirement and was hardly home for the 3.5 years that I had been living here and didn't know the neighbors that well. Didn't know the contractor who lives in a now 10 year old subdivision was skid row trash that likes to target people that have serious health problems.
It cost me $43k before I managed to get him and his trash off this street. 6 victims in 1 block 2 of which are crippled 90lb seniors, over 500k in damages in 5 years. These guys brag about what they do and even with a Canada wide Ontario warrant, our police refuse to arrest Luigi's henchman Wayne Cater. According to our Criminal Protection Service, it's us evil handicapped, crippled seniors and brain cancer survivors that are the problem, not the alchaholic steroid freak and his junkie friends that are to blame. Remember the way Harper treated returning crippled war vets, thats pure Calgary mentality. There are some really good people here, but not enough to counter the garbage thats in charge.
This is now a decent, peaceful, friendly street as these goofs are scared snitless of me and Luigi knows that I'm no longer on 24hr o2 and have enough strength back to beat him to a pulp. Muscle bound freaks that target the crippled, terminally ill and handicapped dont impress me, but then again I'm a Mennonite farm boy, not a red neck Calgarian.
Sorry about the rant Gigger, but this is where things are at. LOL
