My truck shakes at speeds over 65mph ?!

All the sudden my 95 stroker is shaking at speed over 65mph. I do what the issue could be and raddled the whole can of the truck and it is a 3 piece driveshaft . Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Whoa there... start simple. You probably just lost a wheel weight... it happens. Go have your tires balanced or if you want to prove it out first, put the rear end up on jackstands and pull the wheels off. Make sure you're NOT in 4x4, put it in gear and run thru the gears til your speedo reads 65 MPH or wherever the shaking would start. If it's in the driveline you'll feel it, if it's tires then it'll be smooth like nothing was wrong.

Obviously make sure there's nobody around that will crawl under the truck while you're doing this like dogs or kids.

But if it was my truck I wouldn't even bother. Just go have your tire balance checked.

I'll agree on tire balance.... If it were the driveshaft you most likely would feel it at a much lower speed.

Check shocks too. A bad one will compound a poorly balanced tire

A slipped belt in a tire will cause this. Tie rods usually show up at lower speeds.

Don't want to high jack the thread too much but I have a high pitch vibration coming off rpm at speeds over 60. If anyone has experience with this please PM me.

In my experience with vibration at 60mph+, high-pitched vibrations that rattle loose change in the cupholder are generally driveline related and harsher vibrations that shake cups in the cupholder are generally tire related.
Cupholder diagnostics 101.

I jacked the truck up and dropped it into gear. I let it go up to 70mph and I got the shaking issue that iv have been looking for . I put a broom handle on the driveshaft while it was spinning and got no bounce at all . the rims had a lot of wheel weights idk if that's from someone that didn't know what he was doing or what

sounds like they were "chasing weight".. sometimes if you get a defective tire it can be just a PITA to balance.. other times its a problem with the wheel balance machine itself actually being out of balance.. which condition they ran into doing yours i cant say.. but like others have already said.. it sounds like a balance issue.. Driveline issues will show up at lower speeds.. High way speed vibrations tend to be tire related.

So you did NOT take the advice and get the tires balanced

What kind of shop refuses to balance tires? Or do you have so big knobby tires?

I had this on my 97 f350. Turned out that i lost a couple of bolts connecting my drive shaft to my transfer case output. Only felt it above 60 mph.
