This is exactly how I came to order from Blue Oval...I had bought parts from other vendors with Blue Oval tags on them and I thought that I would cut out the middle man and go directly to the source. That combined with the fact that they are located in SoCal just 100 mi North of me seemed to make sense. It may be that they are more accustomed to dealing retailers that makes their customer service a bit less forgiving.

I've never done business with BOTP, but this post made me check them out. They don't look to be a bad outfit, but I wonder how coincidental it is that in the truck Identification sections of the site and the catalog, they have the same stupid mistakes that LMC has on theirs. Clue less about serial numbers, locations, model numbers and even some engine codes for the 1948-1954 models.

Ordered a few gauges and sending units and never used since they were not correct. Mail carrier not responsible since the were confirmed that they were delivered to the vendor. Wasn't sure if anybody else had the same experience which is why I made the post. The poor customer service added to the issue. I am working with my credit card company and fortunately have the emails from the vendor stating they receive deliveries but do not always get them.
Hope this does not happen to anybody else but wanted people to be aware.

I used them when they were in Anaheim (about 6-7 yrs ago), kinda rude and not customer friendly. I ordered a front steel (not chrome) bumper, was charged for shipping from Dennis Carptenter to them and when I didn't want it (poor stamping) they wanted to charge a 25% fee. Originally I was told there was no shipping charges if I picked it up, it was their bumper and if there was a problem I could return it. I was lucky and sold it locally and made almost all my money back.
