1996 7.3 hesitating

I have a 1996 Ford F-250 7.3. It hesitates at 2000-2300 rpm in neutral, 1st, and 2nd gear for about 20 seconds. It blow a lot of white smoke while it hesitates. Any idea what it is?

Injector o rings will cause this. How many miles on the truck?

Has it done it every since you did the o rings? Or did it just start recently?

It might be possible an o-ring got torn on re install. Or you may have a bad injector.
