Looks to be a nice pretty much unmolested stocker with most of the pieces, even the very rare rear headliner bows. IMHO based on what I paid for mine, that's about 2-3K high asking price, but if it's really rust out free and straight as in the pix would still be a decent buy for someone from the rust belt that really wants a primo 56 panel project start.

Yikes. $11,500 for a start from scratch build.

It is certainly difficult to find a original unmolested panel truck. But the truck would have to be completely rust free for me to ever consider that kind of a price.

The ad is in Phoenix, AZ so I assume it is rust free. My first question would be, has it been in the southwest it's whole life? If it has, make an offer I could live with.

It looks nice and unmolested. However it is missing the original drivers seat and optional passenger seat.

That's the same seat that was in my first 56 panel I bought in 1968 abe, same as what came in the pickup.

Hmmm, I really thought the panel trucks came with a single driver's seat. This allowed them to get back to the cargo area. The optional passenger seat folded down and then forward to allow access to the rear compartment.

That's the way my current panel was, I won't argue the point. It could well have been that the one I had in 68 had been converted before I got it. It also had a spare tire mount on the inside side wall that no one could give me an answer on either and it looked factory installed.???

Could it be that yours was a Canadian built Ford and there were some differences from US built Fords?

Just to interject--my spare tire is mounted on the inside as well. My history with my truck goes back to 1958. I believe the inside installation is original to my panel truck.

It looks to be a California license plate on it and Charlie found a drivers seat.

But $11.5k is a little steep.
