Question Diesel treatment

Does anyone still put standyne fuel treatment in their trucks? Used to put in every 2 or 3 tanks in my '06 6.0 but don't see that talked about on the 6.7's.

I still use the Opti-Lube product most fill ups. Summer version during warmer months to add lubrication and increase Cetane. Opti-Lube XPD in the winter for same reasons plus anti gel in cold weather.

i use it every tank. Its billed as cetane booster and lubricity enhancer, NOT necessarily as a cleaner as in a typical STP injector cleaner for GAS engines, so if used, it would stand to reason, that it should be used all the time to get the benefits.

So it sounds like you all think it is a good idea then? This stuff is what I have used in the past.

I used to use products like this in my old 6.9 diesel, but to date, I have not seen the need to add anything to my fuel with this truck.
I do use the premium diesel when available, but by and large it is mostly #2 diesel that goes in my tank.

I use the Stanadyne Red and Blue treatments. The Blue can be used year round and the Red in the warmer months. I add a bottle ever other tank around home and each tank when on the road.

Since I have a 65 gallon Titan Tank, each bottle is about the right amount per tank.
