1983 Bronco Build Thread

I bought this off CL last summer, wasn't looking for a Bronco, but this one just spoke to me. I have never owned a Bronco b/4. Hooked now though. 351W, 4bbl, 4wd, dual exhaust, old headers.

The inside was trashed, kids owned it, drove it in mud up to the eyeballs, didn't take care of it. No carpet, back seat there but no fabric on it, no bolts for the install.

I bought cheap carpet at home depot. But have since bought OEM molded carpet and padding and sound deadening materials going in after paint.

It ran a little rough, got new plugs, rotor, cap wires, adjust timing, didn't help much, got new refurbed carb and it made all the difference.

Next came new grille and emblem and new exhaust, dual, no cats.

I had to hire a garage to help finish exhaust, no flanges for the manifolds.

1st fender almost off, what a pain.

Them replaced fenders b/c of rust, it's off to pain now. Also getting all seats redone at same time. Will post pics when these are done. Thanks for looking.

New shocks all around too.

I'm going with the same color scheme - white. Instead of putting the side trim/moulding on, I'm having them paint a pinstripe. The wheel-well flares, I'm restoring and putting back on.
