I am looking to replace the bumper cover on my 2007 expedition. It is the black textured one. The left painted cover extension is damaged as well. Are there any tricks to removing these? The parts manual does not really give a great picture of theses. I can see the plastic clips under the tailgate but I have yet to crawl underneath and look around. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The cover is held on with plastic nuts/bolts. You have to unscrew the nuts from underneath the truck. The new cover will have replacement nuts/bolts that attach to the underside of the cover. If you just lift up with great force it will snap then off.
