It actually doesn't have dual tanks - just two fuel doors. The front one is sealed closed. Other than that just typical Ranger trim and finish. Power steering and brakes, no A/C, cruise or tilt. AM/FM radio but it might be aftermarket. What other options should I look for?

Excellent. Thanks Privateer.

The windshield is cracked. I got an email from the seller saying he had found one in his father's barn, and did I want it. Did I!

I built a little rack out of some scrap 2X4s so that it could be transported on edge rather than lying down. Worked like a charm.

He also found a filing cabinet with a drawer marked "F-150" and I got all that was in there. Mostly used parts (lol). 4 shocks. 2 sets of plug wires. Wheel cylinders. Coil. ICM. Fuel pump. And a collection of door pull pockets in various colours (?). It is nice to know some of these things have been replaced.

I've seen this on here a lot, but has anyone tried putting a rear w/o molding on a frt. fender. They won't fit. They are not the same! Bottom of frt. fender won't work on the rear there totally different shape. I guess you could pound the crap out of it to fit. Sorry for the rant but had to put my 2c in.

I looked at the front fender and I see what you mean. The bottom rear has a different profile than the box. Thanks for pointing that out.

I have Google image searched 79 F150s and very few have the narrow, all chrome (aluminum?) trim. Was it a specific option that was chosen? Easy to polish? Thinking of swapping the black mirrors for chrome ones.

Took this pic this morning. Hoping to get some work done on Magnus over the winter but currently in the middle of replacing the head gasket on an 05 Civic.

Thanks guys - looking forward to driving this beauty. Just bought a nice toolbox to sit in the back when I take the cap off. I will try to get a pic of it as it sits in my garage.

Some elbow grease and right chemicals will make that whole truck shine. I have a thread here called 75 f100 pics with a bunch of before and after.

Thanks, can't wait to see how yours comes out. Best thing I did was buy this old girl instead of buying some small 90's ranger or Tacoma like my original intent. Second best thing was joining this forum. Great helpful, knowledable folks here!!
