rear window slider latch

I have a 1990 f250. Has anyone else bought or seen a metal latch instead of the stupid brittle plastic ones? The plastic ones only last a couple months

I'm pretty sure your '90 is the same as my '87 slider.

When mine broke I went to an automotive glass shop and they had a metal universal one that fit in the same holes as the original. It's been four years now and it's still going strong. Unfortunately I don't have any part numbers, makes or models.
