4.6l stalling
Hello,
I'm new to the truck realm and also the v8 realm. I have a 97 f150 that had a really bad chain rattle opened it up and the tensioners were seized up. I changed everything including the chain and aligned the marks on the chain with the marks on the gears. Now the truck cranks right up and idles for about a minute then dies. Sometimes it will crank up go to a normal idle then die immediately. I've checked all the vacuum lines, changed the iacv, added gas just to be sure, voltage gauges are normal. I'm totally lost, it doesn't even sputter when it dies, it just flat out cuts off. I figure if I got the timing off it would at least sputter or something.
