Was thinking about buying a 1999 F350 crew cab with 270k miles. It has the 7.3 in it. I don't know the history but I know everybody talks very highly about the 7.3. So what should I look for and is 270k to much or should it be good until 500k? Any info would be great. Thanks

 

If the truck is mechanically sound, and functions as it should, then 270k isn't necessarily something to be worried about. A truck that's abused will be whipped at 100k, whereas a well maintained vehicle should still be running like a top north of 300k. It's hard to make a judgement call with no information to go on besides the odometer reading.

as said above it is hard to say either way.
i have seen well loved and maintained trucks with over 1 million miles on them.
and i have also seen abused trucks that blew up with under 100,000 miles on them
