Look a little closer at the pic above... It's not a Centurion. Wheel wells cut into the rear door. It's a good bit shorter. The Carryall was sold in Mexico. I think the Centurion conversions were better though. Sorry OP for the hijack, The 4 door Scout made me think of them.

Thought it looked off.... would drive em both the utility and capability of an excursion, with the rugged and classic good looks of a brick or obs

an easy fix for the points is to put a Pertronix conversion kit in. makes it much more dependable.

Well began working on the 7.3 for the international, was going fire it up but decided to check if it would roll over, put a bar on crank and it wouldn't roll over more than a quarter turn. So began taking it apart, and owner failed to mention it had a blown head gasket on both sides, he left no lift pump in it and it filled the whole pan with water and it froze on top of that. But no broken bolts in heads or block, quick wipe of the rag cleaned most of the rust out of cylinder, cylinders glazed pretty good, and cam bearings need replacing, showing the full copper ring. And soot and ash coming out of one guide, hoping to tear the heads down this weekend hoping its just bad seals. Might pull my other short block out that has no glazing but needs heads.

Well back from school passed everything pretty easily, went to return to work and got informed the day I was suppose to return that I was replaced while I was gone, so I went found a new job again so I am now started making progress on the truck, being training a new addition to the family a 5 month old mixed Border Collie, Saint Bernard and Alaskan Malamute. Dealing with some wear and tear on the back and front spring hangers. As of right now, I have one engine to change all the gaskets on and put 910 springs in. I think I have all the parts needed to do the entire swap over. But some mock up pictures of the new rear suspension set up, 64 inch long 2.5" wide springs approx 140,000 kms on them, got them free. Bought new shackles and spring bushings for 60$ a side and a set of air bags for cost from a buddy. I mocked up the hangers put some weight on it to see how it sits than moved the truck for roofers before my roof blows off or starts to leak. Plan on having this truck running and done by the end of august and my crappy school car gone after that.

Well have made some progress sorry no pictures yet. Soon thou soon. Took a short block I had 318,000 kms on the clock when pulled hard start but ran like a top once running, bad glowplug's autolites. Had a set of heads redone exhaust guides completely worn. Got an engine together with motorcraft glowplugs. Took a 460 5 speed I had redrilled it. So me and my neighbor spent almost 4 hours putting engine and transmission in the truck in my driveway, heavy enough the hoist was sinking into the driveway but made engine mounts, and transmission mount. Next on the list is jack shaft than going to do exhaust, I am going to use my hx40 I had for my other truck on this for now anyways. I did however have to move the divorced 205 with a pto down and back for more clearance for the 4wd. I have a hands clearance for the front drive shaft and transmission cross member. I oil pan is maybe 2-3 inches away from the front differential. But did no firewall massaging to put the engine in at least at, and once I lift the front and level the truck I will have way more room too for everything. Should be running labour day weekend.

That is a really long wheelbase, it looks like the mid 70s Trailer Special Fords.

Well good news I got the truck started today, finally a little behind schedule but oh well. But it fired up ran pretty decent for being cold, this engine had not ran in almost 2 years, untimed and the ip sat unused on an engine with low miles for 5 years before I got it. Going to start on the cooling system and everything I ran it off jumpers just to get it started for now. But I ended up with my hx40 for my other truck on their, 4 inch down pipe that's it but now I don'y have to worry about me timing the pump wrong.
