Tranny question

Can I make a 93 4x4 tranny work for my 2 wheel drive 95 maybe swap some parts got a deal on one and I lost reverse and 5 the gear in mine need cheap fix

You can but you have to take it all apart and put the tail shaft and output from the 4x4 trans in the 4x2 trans.

What transmission do you have and have you pulled to top cover to see if your shift forks and stick are worn

It is the Mazda tranny ,I replaced the shift forks 4 months ago for 1-2 and 3-4 didn't even think to check 5-r cuz they arnt with the others,how hard is it to pull that tranny apart I'm pretty good with my mechanical ability ,I have changed heads and cam on truck already so I'm thinking of tackling the tranny myself

Check the shift fork!

Not too hard to pull one apart, just make sure you note the order of everything. You may need a puller and/or press for some bearings.

You should be able to find a rebuild guide on line. Should.

It sounds like you can make it work, but it will be a lot of work. I have a friend and that's what he does, takes engines and transmissions from vehicles that run but the body is crap, and swap them into vehicles that don't run for those reasons. Makes a decent living.
