Hells Gate isn't bad, these guys had inexperienced spotters and poor driver skill. Proper line is about two feet more towards the driver side. Been up it quite a few times, and the short wheelbase rigs are terrifying. Excursion's length is much more suited for it.

It must be much more steep than the camera gives it credit for.

Would it have helped with articulation to disconnect the sway bar up front?

That is my kind of off roading! The best we have in IA is mud.... Wish it was 1000mi closer so I could spend some money and have some fun!

The last year my grandparents lived in AZ I got to ride in a friend of my Grandpa's jeep in the mountains, after an hour or so and his recent carpal tunnel surgery he asked if I would drive for him! It was the most fun I have ever had tackling obstacles only a quarter as tough as this.

Good driving and nice EX.

I concur, the goofy spotter magnified the skills of the driver(s).

Weird...only diesels made it up the gap.
