Floor Shifter Idea

Has anyone see or heard of someone making the Excursion Column shifter into a floor shifter? Maybe a custom center console with a shifter setup similar to an F150??

I've toyed with the idea since my first X but don't have the funds to just buy parts to experiment with.

There's a kit from B&M for 4r100, plus a little fabbing.
