That bell allows an FE to bolt up the ZF transaxle.
You want to be on Planet Pickup Truck, where the ZF looks like this:

That trans has an integral bell. You need an adapter to make it work with an FE:

I am pretty sure it is less money to go with an NV4500 behind an FE vs. the ZF and adapter. The NV requires an adapter as well, but it's less money iirc.
