Cut the hose, clamp it in, attach control cable

I was thinking I needed to reuse the old firewall bracket.
Plus the inlet and outlet are inline, not like stock.

If you want to stay stock you'll have to get the stock valve. If you're looking for an inexpensive replacement this will work.

They make a version of what Cbeav posted with a small bracket. Easy to neatly mount to a fenderwell. Still has an old appearance. You gotta pay the money to keep everything 100% stock appearing.

Stock would be nice but hard to find and too expensive.
This is not a full restore truck project anyway.

The stock heater hose is not inline with the napa type valve.
The stock cable routing will not work well either.

I think I found a couple on Ebay that I can make work.
Thanks.

This is the what I'm going to use.Heater Valve 4 Seasons 74637
I saw it on ebay and ordered it from Rockauto.$26
The inlet and outlet are almost the same as the stock one.
I will have to fab a bracket and cable mount. Also will have to put a pin in the arm for the stock cable.

Is the heater control valve still needed with Vintage Air A/C unit or can it be eliminated? I have one that's leaking.
