I just use water and a soft brush. If you need something stronger Camping World has detergents made for rubber roofs. Dawn detergent would also work well. Main thing is to make sure it's a soft brush.

Dawn and soft brush/ sponge. Cat like movements so I don't slide off the roof.

I used this two-part stuff from CAMCO...
It cleaned very well, but beware of the second part as the roof is like ICE after you put it on.. Very slick!!!
Will find/post pic

Don't forget that DAWN will remove any wax you have on the RV..... when it pours down the sides.... so re-wax the sides when done with the roof.

Dawn is my usual go-to along with Spic and Span but decided a couple days ago when I finally washed our trailer's roof to just use some liquid car wash that I had as many feet of 5er just is not fun to re-wax in November once it has been stripped. That roof turned out pretty decent after a full year plus of wandering as well as parking under some trees that dropped their leaves on the wet surface.

Soft brush and an extension handle plus personal safety are what else to consider as a 13 foot fall wont hurt, it's that sudden stop on your driveway.

So....falling is relatively painless...it is the sudden stop?

I used Murhpy's Oil Soap with a soft bristle brush to clean the roof and then Aerospace 303 protectant to seal it and guard against UV damage. This method has worked very well in the past for me.

Scott: Nope. Totally painless - for about a half second over ~13 feet according to the Splat Calculator. That sudden many G stop against the pavement will get ya every time though

To Sous - not sure that I would use Murphy's as the MSDS really doesn't tell me what is in it besides potassium hydroxide, water and vegetable oil. The .303 has been used pretty successfully for everything on an RV (I wonder if the guy who invented this .303 Protectant had a British Lee-Enfield rifle in .303 cal)

I read this about EDPM roofing material: "The chalky look is normal and this layer actually protects the rubber roof from degrading beyond a certain point. The chalky layer is oxidized EPDM, and it protects the unoxidized EPDM beneath it, sort of how the outer layer of dead skin cells protects our body." Make sense. Some polyurethane paint products do the same thing and are "self shedding" and only require washing to remove the oxidation. Problem is that frequent washing leads to faster fading. Waxing doesn't last long as it is also shed with the oxidation.

I use Murphy's oil soap to remove the dirt twice a year. Going to try 303 cleaner followed by applying their protectant next spring.

Always wet the sides of your trailer before washing the roof to reduce streaking.
