They ain't cheap by any stretch, but good god did they do some beautiful stuff! Saw them in person at a Pleasanton Goodguys show, almost went home with one of their wheels, but the wife wanted to hold onto the cash for something else( it's her truck, was her cash).

Quality Restorations is here local in San Diego. I have spoken with Dennis on occasion about various steering wheels. I have a 50 Merc coupe and wanted to get one of the elusive Mercury accessory steering wheels...he makes them or he will restore them for you. Either way it will set you back about $3K. That's not to say the ALL his wheels are $3K...BUT...he knows the market and his prices follow the street value closely. Give him a call, his number is on the website...nice guy and will make anything you could imagine. He really has some special one-of-a-kind horn buttons too.

If I can find a cheap 56 wheel I will make a 15" one just to see how it goes. Most stock wheels I have seen at Hershey are being given away around $10 and they are lucky if they sell one!
Can someone post a pic of a 56 wheel front and back so I can tell what to look for? What years are the same or is 56 a one year item? Truck only or car as well? A lot of wheels look the same around this era.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I have a '56 steering wheel that I've ALWAYS wanted to keep on my truck. I have ZERO skills at fabricating ANYTHING but am good at getting injured...
Anyway, I can let my steering wheel be a guinea pig in exchange for getting it back nice and shinny for my truck :~)

I will miss out this year, stuck in the house with pneumonia. Guess I worked myself a little too much with too little sleep lately. Waiting on that covered dish to be brought home later!
Send me some pics front, back, and from the side so I can see the dish depth. I will see what I have on the shelf to use as a donor hoop and we can go from there.

It was a Ford Crestline wheel in a clear/metallic brown if I remember correctly. Was around $2500+ maybe, don't remember exactly. Was months ago. Was gorgeous!
