4x4 rebuild

I have a 95 F150 4x4 with a 5.0 I want to gut the old EFI system and put a higher HP 302 crate motor with a carb instead of the fuel injection system is there any way I can do this without it interfering with how the automatic transmission shifts

If you have an E4OD you need a stand alone transmission controller.

If you have the C6 you are fine.

The 4R70w is also 100% computer controlled. How much more HP do you want? Your truck should be MAF which is very adaptable to go fast goodies and it's also tuneable so you may not have to reinvent the wheel here.
