I have a 2003 F150 with 110k. It's 2 wheel drive, 6 cyl., reg cab with XL bed and no power options.

I had a minor accident at less than 10 mph and both airbags deployed (even though no one else was in the vehicle, the passenger bag deployed as well). The only exterior damage was the bumper looks a little out of alignment.

My question is if I can get these replaced, does something need to be calibrated?

I will not be attempting this replacement myself but someone I know is interested in doing the work. He's just not sure about the calibration part...I think whether it needs to be done on this specific year vehicle. From what I have read, I will need the following:

Both airbags
Possibly clockspring on steering wheel (or just replace the whole steering wheel with an airbag?)
Airbag module
Possibly sensors (although I read if there's no visible damage they may be fine since they reset themselves??) and
some part of the seat belts which locked up as well.

Anyone have any knowledge of airbag replacement on this particular year/model?
