I would think it would strip it down to bare metal, which you could then re-blue

Thanks for the recommendation z31freakify. That rust dissolver did the trick. Got the housing brand new looking. Didnt work at first as i was doing it outside and it was pretty cold, then read that it needed to be done at 70 or above, so changed the environment and worked like a charm!

How did that jug cost and how far does is go? I'm seriously impressed!
Did you use any high heat paint on your turbo after you removed the rust?

With my commercial acount $20 for a gallon. And it removes all rust till the last spec, and can be reused

i got my jug at autozone for 22 bucks. I would take a pic but i still have an oldschool cell phone with no data plan! Turbo has been back in the truck for less than a week though and its been raining hard here and already has new rust on it. : /

a couple coats of high temp clear would have prevented that from happening

Looks like ive been the guinea pig for some of the products, and aftermarket goodies for the OBS and SD bretheren, couldn't be happier to give some reports for you guys
