I've bought from Joe in the past. It's a salvage yard on a farm. He's an old school one man salvage yard.
He has a lot of stuff out there. He's been selling down for a few years now. He's been in business for as long as I can remember. He's not giving stuff away. His prices aren't dirt cheap, but they aren't outrageous either ( on most items ) . Here's some of his other ad's: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/se...2C+ford%2C+joe
I haven't walked through the entire place so I have no idea what he has left for the old stuff. The last time I was out there was back in 2012. I bought a complete donor Econoline van for a 5spd manual transmission swap.
Just remember this is Minnesota, land of road salt. So not all of the sheet metal is going to be solid. Here's the van I bought. He charged me $500.00 for the van ( no title, just a receipt ) . For the condition of the van it wasn't cheap. But for the parts I needed it was dirt cheap. Not a whole lot of 5spd Econolines out there.

I've stopped at Joe's yard a few times. A couple times to buy items, a couple of times to walk around to see what is there and a few other times just to visit with Joe. He's a good guy and knows his Ford parts. Once in awhile he needs to pull out a book and look up a part, but most of the time he just works from his memory bank. A couple of years ago he stopped me at a Back to the 50's car/truck show and told me he had a part I had asked him about the year before. I had forgotten that I had even asked him about it. He had what I was looking for & at a fair price.

Guys like this fellow are the last of their kind. Between land use restrictions, money challenges, and far fewer DIYers, the opportunity just isn't the same as back in the day. It is remarkable how most of these sole props have everything on their property cataloged in their heads - and are completely unable to convert it to another storage device.
