On the odd chance that they would even know what the heck I was wanting, I called them up to see if I could get a new seal for my 94 Explorer's sun roof, as I am tired of it peeing on my shoulder every time it rains hard. As luck would have it, they did and for less than half what another advertiser on line (which did NOT have the part) wanted. Remembering they also were one of the sources given to me by members here for that ridiculous grommet for the windshield wiper reservoir I had them add that part as well.
Great service. We both did not know if the weather seal was the right part, so they sent me a picture. Just exceptional service and reasonably priced too. The weird flat grommet for the reservoir was a big Lincoln, but it's about as specialized a grommet as you can get unless you are talking about high vacuum stuff. And nothing fits like a factory part.

Usually when a sunroof starts leaking it's because the drains are stopped up. There should be a drain in each front corner going down the a-pillars, and ones in the rear corners going down the B or C. With the glass open you should be able to see them. Make sure they are clear and water poured in comes out the bottom, and you should have no more leaks.

I regularly rod out the drains with some heavy duty trimmer string from my walk behind. When I sight down the glass I can see where it leaves the primary gasket right at the center back where the crank is located. There's an actual gap. I popped the gasket out to have a look and it is concave across the top in cross section. It's especially obvious when going through one of those touchless car washes. I have to hold a towel up there while the power washer passes or it gets ugly. I almost think the sunroof itself has bowed, but don't know why that would happen. We'll see what this gasket does and go from there. I've seen plenty of these caulked up in the JY. Not going that route! I got this from my FIL when I diagnosed a head gasket problem at 150K. The tranny had just been rebuilt. The dealer told him it was his radiator and replaced that for $600. Radiators don't add pressure Mr. ASE mechanic. I took off the radiator cap and showed him the bubbling. Then I tore the top down and showed him the gasket failure. He took the gasket back to the dealer and got a free top end kit out of it. So I bought it, rebuilt the motor (it was mostly torn down so I went for it) and have done a giant list of other things to it. The only thing I have not done is touch the axles or the transfer case. Limited. It's in superb shape. 210K miles now. Except this darned SR leak.
