2003 F-150 Harley Davidson engine

I have a 2003 F-150 Harley Davidson model.
I talked to a very good Ford mechanic that specializes in hot rod trucks and he said that the Harley model did not have the same internal engine parts as the Lightning of that year. He specifically said the pistons were cast and could not take much more boost or HP increase. I had always thought the engines (HD vs. Lightning) were the same with just different blower pulleys.
I would sure like to get another 100 HP. My neighbor with his bone stock ecoboost with 3 people in it can dust me. What can I do that will not destroy the motor? Am I better off building this or purchasing a crate motor?
Thanks

Funny you should ask this, Todd. Just a couple place setting down on the thread list is the exact same question.

Here is the question and my response:

Is it true?

Slightly different stock tuning and a different pulley are the basic differences and why they produce a tad less HP.

The internals are exactly the same, Todd. No offense, but your "very good Ford mechanic" is completely wrong. It's actually kind of sad a Ford mechanic can't get this right.

For verification on this, please go to to the National Harley Truck Owners Club at NHTOC.com and you can fact check this info.

I just thought of something, I wonder if he's thinking of the naturally aspirated HD F150 trucks.

Guess we need to trust someone so I will pull for the cats from FTE who are not trying to sell me something like a super cool, "lighting only" crank, rod and piston set.
Thanks guess I buy the next round
