Reconditioning wire harnesses

In pulling the engine for a rebuild, I noticed that the clips that lock the connectors were broken on several, and then I broke several more. I suspect that the problem is probably 75% ham-fisted mechanic / 25% old brittle plastic.

I'm thinking it would be a good idea to recondition the harnesses by cleaning the terminals, replacing the plastic connectors, the tabs that hold them to brackets, and the split-loom covers.

There are several sources for individual connectors, but I haven't seen any kind of kits to cover the whole job. Does such a thing exist?
