2005 Headlights with old bumper and grille?
So it looks like I NEED headlights now... Went to replace a blown out bulb and found that it had not blown out, but had melted its way through the plastic reflector of the back of the headlights housing.
Both housings are faded and yellow.
So, like the title says, can I cut up my header panel and install 2005-2007 assemblies? Or will the old bumper and grille interfere with the new units?
Don't really care about gaps and line being straight.
Aftermarket front winch bumper is too rich for my blood at the moment. Don't feel like paying for a stocker just to take it off again when I go to get that winch bumper... So...

Well........you know I do live in West Virginia.......I'm just trying to blend in with the locals.....
Seriously.....I put the drivers side on Saturday and then did the passengers on Sunday.

Nah, too many fish to catch. Actually it is tweaked a bit but looks worse in the pic with the reflections in all that chrome. Rear bumper has a tweak as well, all customizing from previous owner.

So bumping this up... I've checked over my headlights.
ASY 5C34-13005-A and 5C34-13006-A are stamped on them
They've got date code stickers from the factory saying Sept 2005, and they're reported to have come off a 2006 F250. Previous owner said that he put Harley Davidson editions lights on.
Everything I can see shows that these are the lights that I want (Aside from wanting Harley Davidson units myself... But for $50 on CraigsList, whatcha gonna do?)
But the mounting looks COMPLETELY different.
My stock 2000 units have white clips that pop into the front surface of the header panel with a bolt for aim adjustment.
These lights look like they bolt to the top edge of the header panel and don't look like they have any means of adjustment.
Am I missing something?
I'll post a pic of what I got in a bit.

Try searching for 05 headlight installation for instructions on modifying your header panel- easy to do. Or you can replace your header with a 05 style one, about 100 bucks for a new one- also very easy.
Search for 05 Harley light mod and you can see how to open your housings and paint them!
Sorry I don't have links.
