Can a burnout cause engine damage

I have a 2011 f250 diesel and recently did a burnout. Right after the burnout I noticed my engine was a little laggy and it still has not been running right for the past week. So my question is has anyone heard of someone doing permanent damage to the engine because they did a burnout? When I did a burnout it was with pretty much with bald tires on concrete it was only for about 10-15 seconds nothing major hardly any smoke. I was holding the brakes down. At first I thought maybe the brakes were hung up causing the truck to seem to not want to accelerate like it used to but now after a week I don't think that's it. It was also like the third time I've ever done a burnout and I've only done a boosted launch a few times as well. I have also noticed my MPG has gone down some. Maybe it's all in my head but I don't think so.

I was definitely up to operating temp because i had been driving for about an hour dropping some stuff off at the dump and then did a burnout after I dropped it off
