Tires for Nebraskans

Tires for Nebraskans
I know that this is a highly discussed question but I wanted to narrow it down to a more specific size usage and brand question. You see, I need to replace the old worn out tires before we get the snow and crap here on the roads. I've already experienced the wet road tire lockup because of the short tread depth.
So here are the perameters in this question:
-Truck is geared for 33" tires.
-Don't want to buy wider rims. (15 x 8 now)
-Don't want to install fender flairs.
-Spare tire can only be 10.5 wide to fit under bed.
I've been looking at the BFG All-Terrain KO2s as 90% of my driving in on normal roads and would like to not have a lot of tire noise on the hi-way.
Send me your thoughts.

Well I'm limiting the size to the 33x10.50R15 at this time so was wondering more to on personal usage of the tire brands and tread patterns. I've only been able to find about 6 different tires in the size that I'm looking for.
for example the BFG AT KO2, BFG MT KM2, Dick Cepek Extreme Country, General Grabber,...

What exactly are you wanting to do with these? Drive highway, gravel, mix of both? Extreme mudding or rock crawling? Occasional off roading? If you need an idea of what's available, check out tire rack and search by size.
Edit: tall skinnies aren't really all that common anymore. Hell, even finding 33x12.50x15s is annoying. 15 inch rims aren't the most popular thing on the road anymore. If you were to switch to a 16 or even larger, you would undoubtedly get a better tire selection. If you're dead set on 15s, selection is limited, but not impossible. Jeep guys like that size so it is available.

I'm mostly hiway/gravel roads with limited mud/snow usage.
I've been looking and you are correct in that the oversize 15" tires are getting harder to find. I've got the truck setup so that 33" tall tires will equal the same overall gear ratio as stock tires with 3.55 gears. I've looked into the 17" rims and can find all sorts of tires that fit my needs but I just don't want to buy rims just yet. The 10.50 tire will also fit in the stock spare tire space without modifications and not hang any lower then it does right now with a 31x10.50R15 tire. I've been reading in the Jeep section and those guys are all over the place! Most of them talk about crawling ability and that is not what I'll be doing here in Nebraska!!

It sounds like you want an all terrain tire. I would talk to your local tire store and see what they offer in the size you are seeking. I do all of my tire business with farmers co-op,and not just because I work there. The guys running the tire stores have always found me what I am looking for, and I never have anything common.

Well I've found a deal that I can't pass up.
Mickey Thompson 72530, Dick Cepek Extreme Country Radial Tires | Mickey Thompson
These are more aggressive then I first was looking at but couldn't pass up the price and free shipping.

Wanted to give an update. Tires ride better that the old ones with the same amount of air pressure. Steering response is a little slower than before but still drives really good. The road noise has increased after a couple of thousand miles on them. They are just a little louder than the dual exhaust. Traction in the snow and ice is wonderful! I drove through 6.5" of very wet, heavy snow like it wasn't hardly there. Went out to find a few drifts to 'test' it and still no problems. Watching the chunks of snow come flying up off of the front tires while driving through the deep stuff is really fun! I feel that I got a great deal with these.
